To whom it may concern,

Jacqueline Orr was a student teacher in my fourth and fifth grade class for the
2013-2014 school year. he did her direct teaching during the second semester of the
school year.
Jacqueline demonstrated a !ositi"e en"ironment in which students too# chances
and as#ed questions. he offered enrichment acti"ities for all students. Jacqueline
followed e$isting routines in the class as well as creating new routines the students
needed to follow. he instituted a %ta&le' &eha"ior chart the children used during wor#
times.
Jacqueline has a wonderful understanding of the content areas, she #nows the
&ac#ground information needed for su&(ects and was !re!ared for student inquires.
Jacqueline is organi)ed and her lesson !lans were em&edded with o!!ortunities for
student enrichment. Jacqueline had e$tension acti"ities that dealt with the math lessons.
Jacqueline de"elo!ed a !ersuasi"e essay unit, where each student selected a to!ic
to research and then wrote a fi"e-!aragra!h essay. Jacqueline continually used writing
homewor# to reinforce her writing goals. Jacqueline taught 4 guided reading grou!s and
included questioning, inferring, and "oca&ulary use in these discussions.
Jacqueline is "ery !rofessional in all areas in the classroom. he attended staff
meetings. Jacqueline !artici!ated in our &uilding inclusion wor#. he acce!ts
suggestions and im!lements them easily in her teaching and uses technology with ease
and reali)es the im!ortance of it in the schools of the future.
Jacqueline collects data and #ee!s it in an organi)ed manner. he #e!t detailed
records to hel! manage assessment data for math and social studies conce!ts that were
not mastered. Jacqueline de"elo!ed e$it sli!s after math lessons and used the information
to guide instruction for the ne$t day. Jacqueline !laced students in a!!ro!riate grou!ings
many times de!ending on the tas# at hand. he is a&le to easily regrou! students, and
gear the instruction to fit the needs of the students. Jacqueline de"elo!ed a writing ru&ric
for a *logster assignment she ga"e students in her reading grou!.
Jacqueline would &e a wonderful addition to any school district.
