INSTRUCTIONS FOR MULTISIM 11 SETUP AND ACTIVATION:

1. DISCONNECT from the Internet and run "setup.exe" in "NI Circuit Design Suite
11.0.iso" CD image (to run the CD image, emulate it with DaemonTools or MagicDis
c -- included).
2. Run "KeyGen_unpack_v110000.exe" in the "KG_v110000" folder.
3. Use the Serial Number generated by the Keygen in the Setup program.
4. In the "Product Notifications" dialog during the setup, UNCHECK the option "R
equest the installer to contact NI to search for new notifications [...]".
5. If you are under a Firewall and did not disconnect from Internet before the s
etup, after the installation DENY the outbound traffic demanded by "NI Update Se
rvice".
6. When asked to restart the computer, press RESTART LATER.
7. Get back to the Keygen window and select the most appropriate option (1 - 5)
for a license type. This will generate two .lic files in the folder "KG_v110000"
: one .lic for Multisim and the other .lic to Ultiboard, according to the select
ed license.
8. Go to "Start menu > Programs > National Instruments" and open the "NI License
Manager".
9. In the "NI License Manager" windows, go to Options menu and select "Install L
icense File..." (or just press F8). This opens a windows; then point to the two
recently created .lic files (usually in "KG_v110000" folder). Select one of the
.lic first and then open the other .lic.
10. After opening the 2 .lic files, in the License Manager main window you can n
otice that the icons of your selected license type (e.g., Power Pro Edition) tur
n GREEN; this means the application was successfully activated! If you click on
a green icon, you can read on the right pane:
License file expiration: Never
Status: Activated for this computer


11. Close the License Manager window, restart you computer and enjoy the applica
tion! Do not forget to support the engineers and developers of the software.
