Safety Cardinal Rules

Safety Provisions
- Do not override or interfere with any Safety Provision nor let
anyone else override or interfere regardless of seniority anyone else override or interfere regardless of seniority.
Protective Equipments
- Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) applicable to the given Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) applicable to the given
task must be adhered to.
Lock Out Procedures
- Always follow isolation and lock out procedure.
No Alcohol nor drugs
- No person will be allowed to work if under the influence of alcohol
or drugs

-Report all injuries and illness
Guidelines
Violation of Cardinal Rules
Violators of Cardinal Rule by any one will be liable for punishment as per
l company rules.
Each time a Cardinal rule is violated, a yellow card will be issued to the

Person receiving three yellow cards will be liable for punishment as per
company rules. p y
Scope:
Cardinal rules will apply to all employees and contract employees.
Cardinal rules will apply to all operations and projects in all the shifts.
Administration of cardinal rules
Safety department will have the responsibility to enforce the
implementation of safety cardinal rules.
SBU heads, Engineering head, Operation head, Safety officers, and
Safety head will be authorized by the Unit Head to make observations
on yellow cards and communicate the same to unit head.
Yellow card to be issued by unit head y
Communication of yellow card issuance to be made to followings:
Concerned dept
Contract agency (in case of contract employee ) Contract agency (in case of contract employee )
HR dept
Safety dept
Safety department to provide training on safety cardinal rules to all
those working in the unit .
Cardinal rules will be displayed at all prominent places and notice p y p p
boards.
