Birth Time Rectification

Birth Time Rectification (BTR) using Ruling Planets (RP) method

Note the Ruling Planets at the time of judgment (the time when astrologer has taken up, or
commenced, the rectification of birth chart). Ruling planets are
!. "a# lord ("$)
%. &oon 'ign lord (&'$)
(. &oon Nakshatra lord (&N$)
). *scendant 'ign lord (*'$)
+. *scendant Nakshatra lord (*N$)
These fi,e ruling planets should be among *scendant 'ign $ord, *scendant Nakshatra $ord and
*scendant 'ub lord in the birth chart of the nati,e. -f the Ruling Planets at the time of judgment
are not matching with the *scendant 'ign $ord, *scendant Nakshatra $ord, and *scendant 'ub
lord in nati,e.s birth chart, it means the birth time pro, ided to the astrologer is not correct and
re/uires rectification.
The "a# $ord is taken as per 0indu da# s#stem which starts from 'unrise and ends on the ne1t
sunrise. -t is N2T calculated from !% 234lock &idnight to ne1t !% 234lock midnight. 5or e1ample
if somebod# born on 5ebruar# !!, %6!! at )766 *& at *gra, 8P, -N"-*, it will be Thursda# and
N2T 5rida# because )766 *& is before sunrise on 5ebruar# !!, %6!!.
-f Rahu or 9etu are acting as an agent to an# of the ruling planets at the time of judgment, those
will also be included as ruling planet. 5or e1ample, if an# node (Rahu or 9etu) is in conjunction or
recei, ing aspect from an# of the ruling planets, or if it occupies the sign owned b# the ruling
planet, the node should be included in list of the ruling planets.
-n case we need less ruling planets, ruling planets that are in the star or sub of retrograde
planets, can be omitted.
*mong the ruling planets, *scendant Nakshatra $ord, *scendant 'ign lord, &oon.s Nakshatra
$ord, &oon.s 'ign lord and the "a# $ord are taken in order of strength i.e. *scendant Nakshatra
$ord is the most powerful ruling planet and "a# lord is the least powerful. This strength is useful
when we ha,e to select few among all the ruling planets.
