Representative Lynn Woolsey
1101 College Avenue suite 200
Santa Rosa, CA 95404

Dear Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey;
My name is Elizabeth Gaspar, and I am a student at Windsor High School. The reason why I am
writing this letter is because I believe California should vote against the death penalty.
I believe California should vote against the death penalty for several reasons. There have been
many cases that innocent people are sentenced to the death penalty because of misjudging of
evidence. Putting someone in death penalty cost more than sentencing them to a prison, a lot of
money is invested into supplies needed to kill someone instead of investing it into our countries
beneficial. Many people say that sentencing the criminal is the best punishment they could get,
and thats where their wrong, criminals that get sentenced to prison cannot live their life the way
they wanted, they have to put up with all the bad deeds a prison has and they get to reflect on all
their crimes and have to live with those regrets for the rest of their lives. These are some reasons
why I am convinced that California should vote against the death penalty.
Please feel free to contact me at any time of the day at my e-mail from above or call me after 4
oclock at the phone number above.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
Sincerely,

Elizabeth Gaspar
