It is with pleasure that I write this letter of support for Corinne Hooper, Physical Education
teacher candidate, for a position within your school district. I believe that Corinne possesses
the necessary educational background, professional experience, and dedication to excellence in
education and coaching to be a quality candidate for any open position.
In the short time that Ive known Corinne, she has demonstrated a good ability to be an
effective educator and comunicator within the Physical Education discipline. Her ability to
construct quality lessons that take in to consideration the many learning levels of her students
is highly proficient. Corinne has a unique ability to build rapport, motivate and engage, and
challenge her students to reach their individual potentials.
Corinne has prepared herself professionally in accordance with the NASPE beginning physical
education teacher standards. She has excelled in each of the six standards, and specifically she
has demonstrated proficiency in creating and implementing unit and lesson plans at all levels.
Her ability to create a structured, challenging, and fun learning atmospere for students with
specific outcomes elevated her teaching and created meaningful learning opportunities for her
students. In addition, Corinne has integrated technology within her teaching that demonstrates
proficiency in a wide variety of applications to enhance the learning experience for her
students.
Corinne has been recoginized by her professors and peers within the School of Health and
Human Performance, as well as the School of Education, as a future leader in physical
education and coaching. She was awarded the 2014 Health and Physical Education Educator
Award. Corinne also was hand-selected to attend the 2013-2014 Midwest AAHPERD Student
Leadership Conference for future leaders in Physical Education.
I fully endorse Corinne Hooper as a quality teacher candidate within your school district. She
