VIEWS AND OPINIONS
The public, if asked what orthopedic technology was, would most likely not be to
familiar with the name, but if told they would know what it is.
Orthopedic technology is shown everywhere whether it be a commercial for the
wounded warrior project or for children with disabilities.
Orthopedic technologist have much respect from the public.
VIEW BEFORE AND AFTER
RESEARCH
Before this research I believed what orthopedic technologists do is amazing,
but I never though is was something I ever wanted to do.
Engineering just did not seem interesting to me in any form.
POSSIBLE CAREER OPTION?
I have always wanted to start a profession in the medical field because I
enjoy caring for and helping people, therefore engineering never had a
thought in my mind.
But engineering has a field in which medicine and engineering are
combined, and not only do orthopedic technologist design prosthetics, but
they are also able to treat injuries, and communicate with their patients.
My dream is still to become a neonatal (NICU) nurse, but orthopedic
technology has not been ruled out of my near future.
