short game is the length of
the putts remaining after
you pitch, chip, or blast ||
from tKe'sand. The shorter your putts,
the better chance you have of getting up
and down.
To boost your save percentage, take
the 11-Ball Test. Place 11 balls five yards
off a green with the hole cut 15 yards on.
Chip all 11 balls to the hole, then pick up
your five best and five worst results, leav-
ing only the sixth best chip (see photo).
This is the median length of your putt.
Stick a tee in the ground at that point.
Repeat the drill, attempting to move
your median closer to the hole.
Use this drill with any greenside shot
(pitch, lob, from sand, etc.) to trim a foot or
two from your average putt.
