Anyone who comes to Spain should really spend some time in this in-

your-face town. Not only its a place where good weather is pretty much
guaranteed all year round, but also an attractive place to both families
with young children in the Summer and to the more mature visitor
wishing to escape the freezing Europe temperatures during the inter
months. !ore and more elderly people from Northern Europe decide to
live here. "ts very easy to fall prey to the awe-inspiring sights that you
can see from the top of the Sierra #elada. $ou cant really understand
how beautiful the view is from there until you actually e%periment it.
&nly then you can see an impressive town with many 'leisure( areas,
built alongside a range of stunning mountains. )oday, this town stands
out for its hotel industry, beaches and s*yscrapers, built as a result of
its tourist-oriented economy. "t has two beautiful beaches and between
them lies a roc*y promontory and the port. )he old city occupies the
promontory and most of the hotels occupy the more recently developed
sections inland from the two beaches. A few miles from shore is an
uninhabited island which provides a dramatic centrepiece to the
seascape. $ou also have the upmar*et shops in the centre and all
along the beaches youll find lots of little tourist stores with lots of
fashionable bouti+ues and tourist attractions and dotted around the city
are some lovely public spaces and of course pavement cafes
everywhere. $ou shouldnt leave the town without trying out the
Nightlife which is very popular and mainly involves cabaret acts, night
clubs and )apas bars.
