THE SWEET DEWATA ISLAND

Last week on Thursday, 26

January 2012. My friends and I in grade XI of SMAN 1
Purwodadi had study tour to Bali Island or most popular called Dewata Island. We went there
by 7 units armada of Simphonie Nusantara with 9 class participant. I existed in bus 4 with my
classmates XI IPA5, and my friends from other class, that were XI IPA2, XI IPA3, and XI
IPS2 accompanied by Mr. Sutrisno and Ms. Heny. We left Purwodadi City at 8 a.m when the
weather was rain. The joumey to bali began to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi, East Java. To
reach the Port, it took about 15 hours. On the way, we had jokes and in my bus guided by a
tour leader named Ms. Susi. She was friendly and funny. During the journey, she gave some
jokes and told a little about Bali.
On the way, we had several times stopped to gas-station to go to the rest room. In the
afternoon, we prayed and lunched in a restaurant, I forgot where is it exactly. In my opinion,
the foods was not tasty, I just ate a few of it. Next, in the night we had dinner in Paiton
restaurant, Pasuruan, East Java. We arrived in Ketapang Port at 11.30 p.m and the condition
was crowded because the harbor had been closed during some hours because of big waves
and strong wind. We just waited and waited. At 01.00 a.m we moved up to the ferryboat and
went across Bali strait. It took about an hour to Gilimanuk Port. After that, we continued the
journey to the Tanah Lot. At first, after in Gilimanuk Port, we would check in the hotel, but
because the crossover in Ketapang Port had been delayed for some hours, we had not enough
time to check in hotel. So we went to first object, Tanah Lot.
At that time, in Tanah Lot was low tide, but the waves were big. Because it was low
tide, we could reached the temple of Tanah Lot easily. There we could washed up our face
with holy water and there was holy snake. I didnt go there because I had menstruation, I
afraid if something happened to me. So, I just took some pictures with my friends there. After
took some photos, we had breakfast there.Then we went to the bathroom and finally took a
bath after yesterday didnt took a bath. I wore t-shirt and shorts because after this, we would
went to Tanjung Benoa which there were water sports such as flying fish, parasailing, banana
boat. Beside it, we could went to Turtle Island used boat and took 10 minutes to go there.
From Tanah Lot, there was a local guide in every bus included in our bus, the guides was
from Bali. My bus guide named I Gede Antara, we called him Bli Antara. He told much
about Bali and sometimes he made a joke.
In Tanjung Benoa, firstly, my friends and I went to Turtle Island used boat. We
looked around the turtles there about 30 minutes and then back to the beach. After that I
asked my friends to play banana boat. They agreed and we paid Rp 75,000 for a person. We
played it only 15 minutes, but it was cool! After that we had lunch there and continued to the
next object, that was Uluwatu. Before entered Uluwatu we would clothed with scarf. There
were many monkeys and they were very active and agressive. From there, we could see
Indian Ocean. I didnt like there, because I afraid with agressive monkeys. After Uluwatu, we
continued the trip to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. There was a big statue that not finished. It just
the head until waist, and I didnt knew where is the hands and feet. I like so much there, the
view was cool with precipice. Very beautiful for photography.
After GWK, we checked in hotel Made Bali, a room was filled by 4 person, after got
the room, we took a bath, had dinner and the last had deep slept. In the morning, we prepared
to go to the first object, that was Rumah Adat Galuh. There was traditional house of Bali,we
could looked around and we also could bought clothes, but the prices is high. After it, we
went to Barong dance. Barong dance told about history of Barong in Bali, after Barong
dance, continued with Keris dance. The dancers were man and they pierced keris to their
chest, but it not pained. I was so excited! After that we went to Cah Ayu to have lunch and
brought some snacks and foods from Bali for gift brought back. Then, we went to Hawaii to
shopping clothes, foods, and etc. The prices there were cheap and matched with our pocket.
After shopping, we continued to Kuta beach by minibus. The weather was good and sunny
and the atmosphere was crowded. There were charming waves and many tourists surfing. We
played there until sunset, unfortunately at that time, the sun was covered by cloud. So we
couldnt see sunset. Then we back to hotel, before it, we went to Hawaii by minibus because
our buses parked there. My busmate had lost her bag in Kuta beach, what a pity.. Arrived in
hotel, we took a bath and packed our goods because tomorrow we would checked out. It was
rainy, so I left my room used umbrella to have dinner. I bought meatball in front of hotel,
because I didnt like the foods in hotel. After had a dinner, I slept and got up at 6 a.m. then I
took a bath. After that, my room mates and I left the room brought our suitcase and goods,
put it to baggage and had breakfast.
Today was last day in Bali, firstly we went to Joger. There we bought some products
from Joger that only available in Bali. Then, we continued to have lunch in Saras Restaurant,
it was located near Bedugul Lake. After had lunch, we went to Bedugul Lake. The view was
beautiful and the weather was cold. That was the last object in Bali, because after that we
went to Gilimanuk Port to go across Bali Strait and back to Java Island. At night, we had
dinner in a Restaurant in East Java, and the foods was not delicious. Then we continued the
trip back to Purwodadi city. And we arrived at Purwodadi at 7 a.m. That was my first
experience in Bali. Thats all..
