I am applying for a teaching position within your school district. I hold the philosophy of teaching for
understanding very close to my heart and strongly feel that every student has the ability to learn. In May
2010 I graduated with a BSEd in mid-level education and in August 2012 I graduated with a MSEd in
mid-level education content. I have a background in computers, drama, and music (vocal and instrumental)
although I do not hold licensure in these subjects. I have one year of experience at Lighthouse Charter
School where, because of the schools expansion I had the opportunity to teach grades 6

and 7

science. I also was given the opportunity to teach the 6

grade after school math enrichment class,
along with quiz bowl, drama club, and forensics club. From my strong academic foundation to my energy
and enthusiasm for teaching, I have a lot to offer your school district and the students it serves.
