Whats been happening?

From brainstorming onto the story mind maps and organizing the story
parts to present to their audience, the groups of children did an
amazing job on their summative assessment task. Last week some
groups finished their stories and children were able to share it with
their peers. Some groups made books to read aloud while others
acted out their story or made finger puppets for their story. We will
continue to finish the presentations this week.

Currently we are practicing for our EC Celebration day performance.
The children from all three classes have been engrossed with the
latest Disney movie, Frozen. One song from the movie, Let It Go, has
been very popular so we have decided to let the children sing this but
with the bilingual version. Ms. Stephanie is leading the movements
and the children are excited to learn them. We will be sending a letter
with more information this week. We hope you will be able to come
and see them perform this special song on June 12th.

In just two weeks we will be on summer holidays. We can
recommend some fun and safe educational websites for your children
to explore during the holidays. Please check our home page
http://education.weebly.com/weebly/main.php.

Swimming lessons:We finally got good weather last week and the
children had such a great time with Mrs. H. We hope this week will
continue to be sunny and hot as it will be our last week of swimming
sessions. Water safety is always a prime concern for parents so
having your child continue taking swim lessons would be highly
recommended for all.

Reminder to pack in your childs swim bag:
- swimming clothes
- towel
- for girls with long hair a hair elastic or a swim cap
- girls with bikinis must also wear a t-shirt
- a plastic bag to hold wet swim clothes after the lesson
- goggles if preferred (to protect eyes from the chlorine in the pool)

Reminders:
Please also send:
- Sunscreen lotion.
- Mosquito repellent (if your child is especially sensitive). Please note
that all classrooms have plug-in mosquito repellents.
- A small umbrella or a raincoat as it is now rainy season.
- Extra T-shirts and shorts for changing in the hot weather.
