Mercede Allen is applying to VAST and I support her candidacy. She is highly motivated and has
immersed herself in the Business program at Green Mountain Career and Technical Center this
year.
While at Hazen Union during her 9

and 10
th
grade year she was well respected by her peers
and by faculty. Mercede is mature and has an excellent understanding of herself as a learner.
She is kind and friendly and is very articulate. She has taken courses that have prepared her for
a program like VAST, as outlined on her transcript.
I have requested Green Mountain Technical and Career Center send her semester grades
directly to you as they will not appear on the Hazen Union transcript until June.
