Good Morning/Afternoon Mr Malone, teachers and students of St.
Francis of Assisi. My name is Edward Go and I am going for the role of
School Captain. I came to St. Francis of Assisi Primary School when I was year 3. I was shy, but throughout the past years I have been in this school, I was slowly growing my confidence. Last year, Mr Dwyer has taught me a lot on how to be more confident, how to project my voice more clearly and how to be a great leader.
After all that learning, I think now is the time to augment our leadership skills. If I become school captain, I will always try my best to make this school proud and I will also encourage other students to try their best in learning and to also remind them to have fun while doing so.
I will always be responsible, friendly, kind and generous and if I see someone who is in trouble or is not feeling well I will try my hardest to comfort them. A few virtues that I believe I posses are friendliness, kindness, curiosity, acceptance, enthusiasm and consideration. I am a very approachable person that will strive hard to do good deeds for our school and to bring tranquillity so that there would no fights or bullying.
Lastly, I believe that I can be a great, respectful leader and I would also like to wish good luck to all the other year 6s who went for school, sport or RE captain. Thank you for listening! Edward G. 6M 10/2/14
