Nature Reflection Journal #1
The readings and discussions in class helped me further understand my own
view of nature and look at nature in a different point of view. I believe that nature is
unexpected and from hearing other people in discussions and small discussions in
mentor session, I found out that some other peoples view of nature were fairly
similar. From the readings, I learned that nature is mysterious and that nature can
have many different interpretations. I enjoyed reading the readings because they
helped me better understand nature and how different it can be. They gave me a
different perspective on nature; they made me think about nature in a way I hadnt
thought of before.
The readings and discussions potentially challenged my view of nature
because sometimes I didnt agree with what some people were saying about nature.
For example, some people said that nature is horrible. I personally dont agree with
that. I believe that the way you view nature can affect your perspective of it. If you
are always negative about nature after one bad experience, you will always feel that
way and never move on from that one experience. But, even if you have one
negative experience, you should be open about future experiences so that maybe
your next experiences with nature will be good and you wont think of nature as
horrible anymore.
