ESL PROGRAM AND AIMS

The ESL (English as a Second Language) program aimed to provide students with the
vocabulary and grammatical structures needed for both school performance and everyday
living situations. It also helps in self- development ma!ing students aware of the importance
to why learnign a foreign language is important and how it might become useful to them in
the future. Learning a second language improves the cognitive system which betters memory
stimulation. The program functions from grade "-"#. There are $ levels of English learning.
The development of language ac%uisition and cognitive academic language s!ills are learned
through the use of sound instructional techni%ues and constant spea!ing. The program
provides the English Language Learner (ELL) the opportunity to grasp the academic social
and cultural aspects of the English language through the teaching of reading writing spelling
and listening. This is done by memory word games correct phonetic pronounciation
continuous repeating of words sentences and phrases. To ma!e learning English as fun as
possible and ma!e sure that students are always active and ta!ing part in the lesson.
The goal of the program is to help students develop language s!ills necessary to be successful
students. This can be done most effectively by meeting the following aims&
". to nurture self-pride and self-identity in each student's linguistic and
cultural heritage the development of having a possitive attitude to language
learning
#. to develop a level in the English language for the inportance of international
communication

learning strategies to e,tend communicative competence.
