MDG6 Speech

What Is MDG6?
MDG6 is one of the eight Millennium Development Goals that started in
2000. MDG6 is aimed towards eradicating HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other
diseases by 2015.

What Is HIV/Aids and Malaria?
HIV can be transmitted by, unprotected sex, semen, vaginal fluids, shared
needles, pregnancy, or blood from an infected person get into the body of
someone who is not infected. HIV causes AIDS; which destroys the cells
in your immune system, meaning that you have a greater risk of getting
infectious diseases and not able to fight them off. Malaria is a disease
which threatens 3 billion people and is lethal. Malaria lives in mosquitos. It
doesnt show any symptoms until its too late meaning the only way to
prevent it is by, having mosquito nets, wearing long sleeve clothes, and
trying not to go outside at sunset.

What Happens If MDG6 Is Completed?
If MDG6 is completed, that means people will have better knowledge of
these diseases, meaning that MDG2 is a step closer to being completed,
more children will have a mother, and father to look after and let them
have an actual childhood. Mother and fathers will also have a child to look
after and have the joy of bringing them up.
