Mathematics Summer School Session
Goals:
Goal 1: Teachers will become familiar with layout of EngageNY
module that they will be teaching during summer school

Goal 2: Teachers will plan and prepare openers that include strategies
from Number Talks and Marcy Cook

Goal 3: Teachers will work together to develop journal prompts for
math journals that will be kept by the students everyday

Goal 4: Teachers will look at Cognitive Demand and create preplanned
questions for their lessons

Goal 5: Teachers will look at module assessments and question if
assessment is justified and come up with next steps.

Goal 6: Teachers will be given time to collaborate and question in
order to get prepared for upcoming 4 weeks of instruction.
