THE THIRD FLOOR BEDROOM

Im sure last night there were doves on my temporary rooms wallpaper but I woke
up this morning and saw a dove y out of my room. I stared in disbelief. Part of my
wallpaper was blank except for the vines. I hurriedly pulled on my clothes for
breakfast and hopped down the stairs. Suddenly, I heard a bird call! I turned
around. AHHHH! I screamed. I ducked as a ock of doves streamed past my
head. They grabbed at my hair and and my arms. My feet left the ground! My
parents ran out of the kitchen, took one look at what happened, and fainted
immediately. The last thing I remember was seeing a pure white hut. As I opened
my eyes Im sure I smelled soup. And not just soup. Beef soup! My favourite! I saw
a table, already set for eating. A massive pot was hanging over a crackling
replace. Then, I felt the small breathing on the back of my neck. I jumped up,
cracking the small, weak chain that had been holding me. Luckily, it was only a cat.
But what a cat! It was, as all of the objects in the hut were, pure white. It shone like
a star. It was massive, the size of my entire leg! But what fascinated, and scared
me, more than any part of it, were its teeth. The front two canines were the size of
cleavers and the others were also huge and extremely sharp. I screamed so loud
that I might have woken up all the birds of the world. I sprinted out, so fast, I think,
that Im sure if Usain Bolt saw me he would have been really envious. As I looked
back on my shoulder, I remembered the cats face. I decided to come back
tomorrow. The next day, I ran down to where the hut was. I opened the door, then
crept inside that cold, white snowy-looking shack. The cat was there. But he was
not alone. There was a woman, who looked in her late 20s. She was, like the entire
place, dressed in white. her clothes of choice were what looked like witch robe. She
hadnt noticed me yet. Neither had the cat. She was eating the same beef soup I
had seen before. A white staff, ornate with diamonds, was propped up on the table.
There was no doubt about it. She was a witch. I decided to tell my parents what I
had seen as I ran out but I thought that maybe she wanted to be left in secret. I
decided to let her be.
