Willam Shakespeare.
Shakespeare was a great poet and dramatist. He wrote famous plays. He published his sonnets
in 1604.
Sonnet is a poem of 14 lines expressing a single complete thought.
Shakespeare in this sonnet affirms the eerlasting nature of beauty and loe. !articularly
he writes this sonnet to his friend. He "uestions why he is not able to write anything new. He
raises "uestions.

&he he begins to state reasons for these "uestions. 't is because of his theme$theme of loe
and friendship he loes his friend. So he dresses up the old worlds with new ones. He spends
his time on what has already been spent. (ust as the sun is both new and old) so is his loe on
his friend .
