RECTANGLE: A parallelogram with four right angles


Because a rectangle is a special type of parallelogram, it has all of the
properties of a parallelogram. They are
1) Opposite sides are parallel
2) Opposite sides are congruent
3) Opposite angles are congruent
4) Consecutie angles are supplementary

relationship.
Thus, %e can say that if a parallelogram is a rectangle, then its
