Folder on The World of Imagination

In this folder, Im going to present to you some extracts from the Nonsense Literature. We can
quote Alice Through the Looking-Glass written by Lewis Carroll and A Martian sends a Postcard Home
written by Craig Raine. These documents belong to the Nonsense Literature, but Alice is a traditional
one from the 19
th
century whereas the poem is from the Martian Poetry movements in the late 70s. I
add a picture of Alice Through the Looking-Glass to show the receipt of this work. I will explain all of
these documents in order to say if this literature is cut off from the rest of world, as it is abstract.
First of all, we will study the extract from Alice to highlight typical elements from nonsense literature
and then, we will see in the poem that there are things in our world that can be viewed in another
way to create the nonsense.
To conclude, we saw that nonsense literature is based on elements from the real world. Authors
want their characters to explore a new world with things from reality but the Martian Poetry gives us
a new eyesight of our world. So, we can say that the world we live stimulate our imagination.
