Along with the mighty Gods and heroes, there have to be
sources of hate and evil. In Greek Mythology, there are many
creatures that people avoid or fear. They arent always
creatures though. Hades, the son of Cronos, is a God and has two
brothers. They are Zeus and Poseidon. There are more
masterminded people like this. They are usually torturous, ugly,
and the meanest things you can find. Now there are words for
these things. You may know them as Medusa and Hydra.
Medusa has a background of mythological people that are
close to her. She once loved Poseidon, but that was before she
was a hideous beast.

She is the daughter of Phorcys and Ceto.
She had two sisters that are also daemons, but there was
something very odd. Her two sisters are Eurale and Sthenno.
Something peculiar that happened was Eurale and Sthenno were
immortal, but Medusa was not.

These three sisters were known as
the Gorgons.

Now, even though most people know Medusa as an evil
creature, she was once a beautiful goddess. She lived in the
North, and her favorite thing to do was to brag about how pretty
and beautiful she was. Once she took it a little too far, and
had sexual intercourse with Athenas husband. When Athena found
out she was absolutely furious. So, to get revenge, she turned
her into what she is today.
