Members of the audience were seen “chair dancing” as the band played familiar tunes from past decades. Mr. Angel's own com- positions with lyries about Wall Street Blues and discontent over taxes were another highlight of the evening. Most impressive were vocals performed by DeForest Raphael, who was compared to Nat King Cole by the band leader. Gottfried Stoger played his own sax but also borrowed his son's soprano sax to add another dimension to the show. Mr. Angel beamed with pride as his daughter, Rebecca, played the piano as she sang a piece by U2. Over dessert and coffee many in the audience could be heard expressing a desire to have the jazz band return to the Manor Club stage in the not too distant future.
