How to Put On Contact Lenses
Putting on contact lenses is a hard process, especially the first time. Usually, your eye
doctor will help you put on one of them on your first time, and all you have to do is keep your
eye wide open. Then, you will be left alone in front of a mirror. The doctor will leave the room,
and this is when you must put on the other contact lens by yourself. The first step is easy; it only
consists on opening the package and putting the little plastic lens on the palm of your hand.
Then, it must be rinsed with the special cleaning solution. After this, the lens must be placed on
the index finger of one hand, and with the other hand try to keep your eye as open as possible so
you wont close it. Looking at the tip of your nose through the mirror, you must bring your
finger to your eye. If you blink and the lens falls off, it must be picked up and rinsed again, and
the process must be repeated as many times as its necessary until you get it right. Once the lens
is in your eye, you might need to blink several times until your eye adjusts to the material. If you
feel some stinging, if your sight is blurry or if anything makes you feel uncomfortable, you must
take it off and start all over, always remembering to rinse it firstly. Once youve mastered the
process of putting on eye contacts, it will be much easier and less scary.
