ABSTRACT

The recent advances in the information and communications technologies have led to the creation of a significant
amount of wealth and knowledge for businesses and individuals. By encouraging information-based alliances,
business webs can identify, create and deliver value to economic agents. In a similar way, virtual communities
have defined new rules of E-business by strengthening the social networks and economic communities. What
will be the next stage?

Placing the debate in a practitioner’s context and drawing examples from recent industry examples, this
conference aims at providing an explanation of the major changes that business managers and corporate
decision-makers will be facing in the forthcoming years.
