Final Paper - Tony Robbins

Throughout time the quality of revolutionary leadership has been passed down
to people to achieve better overall well-being. The modern population has more
resources than ever to find a better sense of personal fulfillment. The changes in the
last generation have been so radical that it seems even in business as if the world plays
soccer while America plays foot-ball. Its not just that the rules changedits a different
game (Bennis, 2009, p. 2). Leadership is a valuable trait that people and organizations
are always looking for. True leadership is a trait that requires as much attention as any
other career path, i.e. doctors or lawyers.
I chose to research Anthony Tony Robbins because for last thirty years he has
been passionate about helping people improve their lifes. According his book Awaken
the Giant Within, Robbins has coached people like Bill Clinton, Andre Agassi, Hugh
Jackman, Dan Cadwell, Donna Karan, Serena Williams, Anthony Hopkins, Mark Burnett,
Oprah along many more that proudly vouch for his delivery. Coming form a poor
background, Robbins gives back to the community by starting the Anthony Robbins
foundation. The foundation provides guidance and assistance to kids and adults. During
the Holidays his Basket Brigade event feeds over 55 million people in over 100
countries.
In his book, Awaken the Giant Within, Tony jokes about how at one at low points
of his life he was praying that his 1960 Volkswagen would even make it to work. He
changed his faith when he came to believe that all past frustrations were actually
laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living
(Robbins ,1991, pg 1)
