EDITORIAL
‘Welcome to some old, and some new, readers and welcome to
Issue four of “IT TAKES TWO”. In this issue we have
lots of ready-to-use “ instant activities” many of them kindly
written by ALTs who have now left the JET programme. We
hope you can use these activities, effectively in your English
classes. In the second half of this issue you can find some
great activities that require a little preparation, for
example “Creative English” —(p.12) and“ Dream
Date” (p.14). In addition there are a couple of great
articles on“ Internationalization” (see pp. 16-21). If
you are interested in making your class more communicative
then page 22 has just what you want with some interesting and
informative ideas on “how can the class be more
communicative?” .
Finally, on the last two pages you will find descriptions of the
workshops that over four hundred ALTs and two hundred
ETCS/JLTs will be able to attend at the 1993-1994 Mid-Year
Block Seminar (MYBS) which will be held in Atami City
in January 1994. If you don’t have the chance to attend then
don't forget to ask your co-workers about what they learnt at
the MYBS.
