A How to video essay on the history of film




Video Summary and Flow (what happens in your video?)
Beginning how
does it start?
I start with a short introduction of what I will be
showing in my video essay. At the start I introduce all
the new inventions and key elements of film making
and its history. I include the famous film makers and
their work in action.
Mid-way point
how does it
progress or
change?
In the mid-way-point I change to the 20
th
century film
makers and then show pictures and talk through
different kinds of shot types and angles and also
introduce different transitions and ways of editing a film
with examples. I also show examples of my own work.
Resolution (Ending

For the ending I mainly focus on film clios in the 20
th

century and comment on the timing and pacing, the
techniques of editing and how effective each two
examples are and which one I personally prefer.
