Good as gold in dental jewellery technic

Product range for the jewellery industry

Products & Service
Partner of the jewellery industry
Heimerle + Meule was
founded in 1845 as a gold
and silver refinery. In 1920
the company diversified
into precious metal alloys
and semi-finished products
for the jewellery and watch-
making industry. Over the
years Heimerle + Meule
developed into a major
supplier of precious metal
dental alloys. Its experience
in the area of precious metal
semi-finished products also
enabled it to take advantage
of the expansion of the
electrical engineering and
electronics sectors where
it enjoys a reputation as a
highly competent supplier.
The acquisition of Pforzheim-
based Heraeus Edelmetall
Halbzeug GmbH in 2001
not only strengthened the
companys precious metal
semi-finished product
division but also broadened
its range to include electro-
plating baths, machinery
and equipment.
Moreover, the acquisition
enabled the companys job
shop to diversify its decor-
ative plating services.
A medium-sized enterprise
with considerable freedom
of manoeuvre,
Heimerle + Meule is part of
the Lbeck-based Possehl
Group. Thanks to its over
200 highly qualified em-
ployees, Heimerle + Meule
enjoys a worldwide
reputation for high quality
standards, expertise and
fairness in all its areas of
activity.

JUNIOR 120
Pen plating unit
With this pen plating unit,
gold, silver and rhodium can
be deposited with ease.
The technique is economical
and stain-free. The apparatus
is particularly suitable for
jewellery with complex geo-
metries such as settings,
rings, brooches, necklaces
and watches which would
otherwise have to be masked
a time-consuming and
expensive procedure. Layers
of approx. 0.1 0.2 m can
be deposited.
JUNIOR 120 is very easy to
operate: Using a pair of
tweezers (cathode), attach
the work to the pen plating
unit. Dip the felt tip of the
plating pen (anode) into the
plating bath. Then apply the
plating solution to the work,
making sure that the tip only
glides over the surface.
When the plating is com-
pleted, rinse the plated part
under running water and
dry it.

Titanium colouring
Titanium in colour
Titanium is a metal that
forms a durable oxide layer
with the ability to refract and
absorb light. By varying the
thickness of the oxide layer,
an array of very decorative
colours can be achieved.
Manufacturers of medical
instruments, spectacle frames
and writing implements have
been benefiting from tita-
niums properties for many
years now. And jewellery
designers, too, derive inspi-
ration from colourful titanium.
A multifunctional material
not only for high-tech
applications
Harder than steel; extremely
resistant to heat, corrosion
and acid; bio-compatible and
exceptionally lightweight:
these properties make tita-
nium and its alloys a material

The TFA 120/10 titanium
anodiser: for durable and
beautiful titanium surfaces
With this titanium colouring
unit from Heimerle + Meule,
existing passive layers can
be reinforced by anodic oxi-
dation. Increasing the voltage
increases the thickness of
the oxide layer. The various
colours will appear at speci-
fic voltage levels.
With a standard 20 litre pro-

nomical way to brighten
jewellery, especially items
with a complex geometry.
This technique can be
employed to brighten almost
all silver and gold alloys
(including centrifugal
castings) with the exception
of white gold/palladium.
Polishing cycles last between
5 30 seconds and even
deeper and hidden surfaces
can be successfully polished.

The chassis is made of square
stainless steel tubing clad
with plastic panels. The
worktop is made of easy-to-
clean plastic. The processing
and rinsing tanks can easily
be changed from the front.
This can be done without
removing the workpiece
holders and cathode rods.
To draw of the vapours from
the bath, an extraction unit is
mounted over the processing
tank and two extractor ducts
are located underneath the
work surface. These are
connected together by means
of flexible pipes at the rear
of the unit.
The controls and displays for
the rectifier and the thermo-
statically controlled heater
are located on a console
mounted at the rear of the
machine. The rectifier is lo-
cated on the right-hand side
and is easily accessible from
the front for servicing.
An emergency cut-out is
installed to monitor the bath
level. If the solution drops
below a preset level, the
heater cuts out automatically.

Jewellery colours
Colorit

the modern art

Red is the colour of love, green is the colour
of hope. Colours touch our moods, inspire,
fascinate us. With Colorit

you transfer this

fascination to your jewellery with the greatest
of ease and unlimited creativity.
Colorit

is available in various colour shades you

can mix freely according to your personal needs.
Your fantasy and experimentally possibilities are
unlimited. This compound material strengthened
by ceramics hardens under blue light. The mate-
rial is easy and fast to process, grind, polish. It is
adhesive, shock-resistant and wear-resistant
the ideal material for high-quality and individual
colour creations.
Design and color in the highest qualities
Color is once more restored to jewelry.
The playfulness and the romantic reminiscence
of the current designs appear to draw on role
models from Art Nouveau or Art Dco.
In addition to traditional enamel techniques,
modern materials, Colorit

and Novorit, now offer

designers unlimited possibilities to breathe a
sense of colorful life into their jewelry creations.
PhotoPolyStation XS und PhotoPolyStation XL

Colour in perfection
From The Yellow Cow to
Monochrome Blue: art means
colour and with brilliant
colour effects and really sim-
ple application, Novorit Pure
Color will change your design
into art in a flash.
As an innovative composite
material with a ceramic share
of more than 50%, Novorit
Simple application
Novorit Pure Color is delivered in handy application
cartridges allowing particularly precise and economi-
cal working. The material is protected against
contamination. Air pockets are considerably reduced.
The cartridge can be completely emptied. The Novorit
Link for chemical bond of the colours with the metal
is simply applied with a crayon, too. This way, even
fastidious designs are just a piece of cake.
CreaStation 120
With CreaStation 120 you will obtain perfect depth hardening
of your colours. The design allows both simultaneous
handling of more than one piece and absolute homogeneous
hardening of greater depths: at compact measures of
200 x 290 x 330 mm, the pressure-heat-furnace offers a large
polymerisation space with a capacity of 1.7 l, pressure up to
4.2 bar, and an operation temperature of 120C. You will
receive surfaces which are free of bubbles, extremely resist-
ant to scratches, shock and wear, and ready for easy and
safe further handling.
Pure Color fascinates with high purity and surface
quality. Even thin layers, which you may mix
individually and can handle and apply most easily,
result in highly covering colour shades. The material
is hardened through pressure-heat-processes and is
as perfectly suited for creative use in studios and
manufactures as for industrial applications.

Machinery and equipment for precious metal recovery
ELECTROCLAIM
Electrolytic recovery of
precious metals
This system is eminently
suitable for the recovery of
medium and high precious
metal concentrations in
rinses, spent electroplating
baths and stripper solutions.
Up to 1500 g of gold can
be deposited on the three
special cathodes in the
units electrolytic cell.
These high deposition
rates are due to the highly
efficient current flow in
the recovery cell and to
Heimerle + Meules special
cathodes. These features
The components of the
Electroclaim unit rectifier,
pump and recovery cell
fit neatly into the compact
housing, and the instruments
and switches are ergo-
nomically arranged on the
console. Thanks to its self-
suction pump and the easily
removable special cathodes,
Electroclaim is particularly
user-friendly. The subsequent
recovery of the pure precious
metal from the special cath-
odes is carried out profes-
sionally and economically at
our own refinery.
with the resin beads and to
empty it later, which was an
awkward and time-consum-
ing task. With the BES system
you just change the bags.
The resin in the bag is spe-
cially adapted to one type of
precious metal. This maxi-
mises the working capacity
of each bag. Bags are avail-
able with special resins
for gold, silver, palladium,
ruthenium and iridium.
IONOCLAIM
Precious metal recovery by
ion exchange
This is an extremely efficient
procedure for the recovery of
low and medium precious
metal concentrations in spent
precious metal baths, static
and running precious metal
drag-out rinses and precious
metal stripper solutions.
The recovery unit Ionoclaim
can handle precious metals
in the form of cyanide, chlor-
ide or sulphate compounds.
Thanks to Heimerle + Meules
flexible Bag Exchange
System (BES), Ionoclaim
offers considerable advan-
tages in terms of handling
and logistics. It is no longer
necessary to fill the bag

RHODOCLAIM
Precious metal recovery by
means of chemical reaction
The Rhodoclaim system
developed by Heimerle +
Meule has revolutionized the
recovery of rhodium from
spent rhodium-bearing baths
and rinses. In the past, rho-
dium recovery could only be
carried out at the refinery
with all the expense, time and
effort the transport entailed.
Rhodoclaim has changed all
that. It is a user-friendly and
extremely profitable system
which allows you to recover
the precious metal yourself.
It even makes it possible to
recover rhodium from sol-
utions that have previously
not been recycled at all. By
doing so you reduce pollution
and benefit financially.
How the system works:
Rhodium forms a compound
with the newly-developed
Rhodoclaim powder which
means that you simply add
the powder to the spent sol-
ution after adjusting the
pH value an extremely
simple procedure.
Rhodoclaim system 8101 0 144
includes:
500 or 1000 grams of
Rhodoclaim powder
Folded filters
Measuring spoon
PH paper
Illustrated instructions
for use
Shipping container for extract
Pre-refining precious metal
analysis
Professional refining of the
rhodium
There is a charge of 1 1.50 for every
gram of reclaimed rhodium
After filtration and drying you
send the rhodium-bearing
extract to Heimerle + Meule.
In this form, the consignment
doesnt even have to be
classified as hazardous.
The Rhodoclaim system sol-
ution also includes analysis,
professional processing and
the recovery of the rhodium
in our own refinery. In
exchange for the rhodium
extract you send us, you
receive the proceeds of the
recovered rhodium in the
form of a financial settlement,
rhodium baths or other
Heimerle + Meule precious
metal products. If you wish,
we can open a free precious
metal account for you.
Under ideal conditions*
a 500 litre spent bath with
a rhodium content of only
0.1 grams per litre can yield
a rate of return of up to
200 %. In the case of a higher
rhodium content, your rate
of return can increase to
over 800 %.
* i.e. a low level of contami-
nation of the bath and
provided that the instruc-
tions for use are followed
correctly.
