Metabolism - The process involving a set of chemical reactions that modifies a molecule into another for
storage, or for immediate use in another reaction or as a byproduct (fat).
Enzyme - A substance produced by a living organism that acts as a catalyst to bring about a specific
biochemical reaction such as digestion.
Substrate - the substance acted upon by an enzyme.
Coenzyme - A small molecule that is essential for the activity of some enzyme. (excludes protein but
sometimes includes vitamins)
