grade: Art: All About Me
Students were asked to use digital presentation software to create a presentation to tell
the teacher (and their classmates) All About Me. The student created a digital presentation
containing nine slides that included: one title slide, and eight descriptive slides. Each slide was
required to be formatted using text, color, and clipart.
Challenges:
A primary challenge is always going to be having enough computers so that all students
are able to create presentations at one time. Another challenge is likely to be that some
students may have difficulty following verbal instructions. In order to preemptively address this
issue, a teacher would also want to include a written instruction sheet for advanced students
who want to work ahead. By doing this, those advanced students could aid students who are
visual learners and follow written instructions better. An additional challenge may also include
a students failure to save their work, as well as a students ability to closely define a term that
will bring up the clip art they desire to illustrate their slides appropriately.
