Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the Do Your Job Act. 4 SEC. 2. NO CONGRESSIONAL RECESSES. 13 (a) IN GENERAL.During the period beginning on 14 the date of enactment of this Act and ending on the date 15 specified in subsection (b), neither the Senate nor the 16 House of Representatives may recess or stand adjourned 17 for a period of longer than 24 hours. 18 (b) BALANCED BUDGET AGREED TO.The date de- 19 scribed in this subsection is the date a concurrent resolu- 20 tion on the budget is agreed to that establishes a level 21 of deficit of $0 or a surplus by not later than fiscal year 22 2024. 23 (c) RULES OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND 24 SENATE.This section is enacted by Congress 25 VerDate 0ct 09 2002 11:21 Jun 16, 2014 Jkt 000000 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 C:\USERS\KLMERY~1\APPDATA\ROAMING\SOFTQUAD\XMETAL\7.0\GEN\C\RIBBLE~1.XM June 16, 2014 (11:21 a.m.) F:\M13\RIBBLE\RIBBLE_030.XML f:\VHLC\061614\061614.043.xml (575614|7) 3 (1) as an exercise of the rulemaking power of 1 the Senate and House of Representatives, respec- 2 tively, and as such it is deemed a part of the rules 3 of each House, respectively, and it supersedes other 4 rules only to the extent that it is inconsistent with 5 such rules; and 6 (2) with full recognition of the constitutional 7 right of either House to change the rules (so far as 8 relating to the procedure of that House) at any time, 9 in the same manner, and to the same extent as in 10 the case of any other rule of that House. 11 SEC. 4.
