The Mini Hungary of szr was established in July 2011 based on a tender.

It consists of 20
realistic buildings in the scale of one to eight. They were built by szl! "ohonczi# the $ayor
of %te and his fa$ily $e$bers in their own wor&sho' in not less than 10( days. The $aterial
he used is breeze )cinder bloc&s because they are easily sha'eable. The $ain idea behind
this e*hibition is to show the characteristics of the Hungarian architecture of the countryside#
'ri$arily fro$ +y,r# -'a and so$e .illages of /o$ro$0%sztergo$ 1ounty. The 'attern for
these buildings was a collection conducted by the Museu$ of %thnogra'hy in 2uda'est in
1343 ai$ing to dis'lay 'eculiar buildings in the countryside in the 13
th
century. The buildings
in the Mini Hungary of szr loo& e*actly li&e the original buildings# so$e of which are still in
a good condition. There are si$ilar e*hibitions in other towns and .illages such as /isb5r
and M!r. These buildings are $ostly building ty'es# which $ean that they are not bound to
any 'articular .illages. 6$ong others# there stand a fortified church of the $iddle ages and a
school building. The co'y of the wind$ill of T5s is e*traordinary since it is one of the few
wind$ills with si* sails.
In 1748 was built the country house. It is an adobe house with thatched roof. The $ain
$aterials were horse dung# straw and clay. 9ince :ece$ber 1333 it has officially no
inhabitants# but before this# it was inhabited for 18( years by the fa$ily 2artha. 6fter the
death of the last inhabitant# the furniture was ruined or stolen. In 2010# it was reno.ated and
'roclai$ed a country house. 9ince autu$n of 2010# se.eral e.ents were held here such as
occu'ations of handicraft for adults and also for children# 'u$'&in coo&ing and car.ing# 'ig
slaughter. 6fter the co$$unity centre was built# these tas&s were reduced to recei.ing guest
