For my project, I am making scale models of an iPad Mini and a case.

I will be using a scale

factor of 2 for both of the models. I chose a scale factor of 2 for both of them so I can fit the iPad inside
the case. Another reason is because this way it will still be a reasonable size to handle (about 17 in x 25
in). Any larger would be difficult to build and get materials. For the materials I will be using cardboard,
black felt, gray fabric and polyester stuffing. I will also be using some tools such as needles, thread,
sewing machine, chalk, rulers, a box cutter, a hot glue gun and scissors to create the models. The
cardboard and fabric will be cut according to my measurements. The cardboard is the base/structure
of the models. The fabric is for covering the cardboard and color. In the iPad, stuffing is used to fill up
the empty space inside the model. All the pieces will be sewn or glued together. In my plan for my
presentation, I will include a table of all the measurements (includes dimensions of the original models
and scaled models, dimensions of the materials, and spacing), diagrams of the scale models labeled
with measurements, two books explaining the procedures to make the models, a comparison between
the original and scaled models and a reflection/summary. My timeline for this project is shown in the
table below. I plan to finish this by Friday, May 30
