Tis digital book contains a small collection of some of my best Extra Ordinary artwork over the years

including one panel comics, Facebook page sketches, and new work that I have since made for the
book project.
Extra Ordinary is my frst comics project and its been really fun to develop my drawing styles and
techniques. Ive received lots of emails from readers to say that my art makes them smile, and that
makes me really happy. I try to make art that captures a sense of whimsy and coziness in everyday
situations. In a lot of ways I guess my pieces are quite nostalgic. I want them to have that essence of
happiness and familiarity that you feel when you think back on a fond memory.
Most of the pieces in this book are a mix of traditional and digital media the linework is usually pen
or pencil, scanned, and then coloured digitally. Before I started getting into digital art my drawings
were coloured using pencil, chalk pastels, pen, or coloured pencils. Tese days I fnd digital colouring
to be a lot quicker and cleaner than traditional media. Using a computer also lets me fne tune my
colour palette and use interesting flters and textures.
