Overview
he TTL-RS232 converter is a handy module using MAX232 IC which enables
the user to communicate between TTL and RS232 levels. This module is used
for communication between 5V TTL levels and upto +/-30V RS232 level.
For interfacing with lower TTL levels, suitable level translators should be used.
Features
Supply- 5 volts
TX-RX TTL i/o pins can be directly connected to Microcontroller or other
TTL output modules. e.g. RFID Reader, GPS, GSM Modem
DB9 connector used for communication with PC through serial port.

Following figure contains the Snapshot of the TTL-RS232 Adapter
board along with USB to Serial.
Connection Details
How to connect with a PC
The following diagram shows the interface between the TTL-RS232
converter and PC. Users may require USB to Serial converter if serial
port is absent.

How toget data in PC
Connect the TTL-RS232 converter to PC module using the
diagram shown in the above section.
Open any terminal emulation software. Eg. Hyperterminal(Windows)/
Minicom(Linux)
Select the correct communication port in the Configuration window.
Use preferred Baudrate, 8-bit, No parity, 1-Stopbit and Open the port.
Troubleshooting
Use any preferred terminal software to open the serial port of PC with the
above settings.
Electrically short TTL level RX and TX pin after applying power to the
module.
Type into the terminal application and see the typed characters which are
echoed back.
