The Passion of an Artist

Everyone has the capacity to be an artist. The defining factor is not whether your
product is perceived is beautiful but rather whether its creation is a passionate
e!perience for you. "re you driven to create or acco#plish so#ething$ %o the
details of your pro&ect swi# around in your head until you bring the# to fruition$
Each ti#e you create your product i#proves and sheds new light on the depth of
your being. That is art.
"rt can be visual auditory perfor#ance or display. The product can be tangible
or &ust a breath outside of reality. " great e!a#ple is writing Though you are
creating so#ething that can be held in one's hand can be consu#ed over and over
again it is the intangible properties that have the #ost effect. The consu#er of the
art in this case the reader perceives the accu#ulated result of the writing
e!perience. (hile the writer e!periences a vast array of e#otions and insight fro#
the act of creating their written wor)s. The reader e!periences an entirely new set
of perceptions. (hile reading they perceive the words of the author s)ewed by
their own personal e!periences and the story ta)es on a life of its own. The
relevance to the reader's own personal e!periences adds to the world the author
has presented.
*eading a boo) can be an interactive e!perience. The #ore you are drawn into the
words on the pages the #ore your thoughts and e#otions #erge and weave in and
out of the story you are reading. By the end of the boo) you are a new person.
+ou have recreated your story influenced by so#eone else's artistic creations you
reinvent yourself and #ove forward to continue creating your own #asterpieces.
