Before class
Make one copy of the sheet for each
student.

In class
1.Tell students they are going to
unscramble the verbs, most of them are
irregular.
2. Explain they have to write down the Past
Simple of the unscrambled verb (e.g. come
came).
3. The students write came in the
crossword (1 down).
4. The students add the other past forms of
the verbs to the crossword.
5. When they have finished, students
compare answers in pairs.
6. Feedback in open class, checking the
verbs that may have caused problems.
