Description
This string of pale beryl beads, evenly interspersed with nine spellweavers' fin
ger bones, whispers a litany dedicated to the lord of foresight to anyone who ho
lds it.
When a spellcaster uses the rosary during their daily preparation of spells (or
meditates over the rosary for one hour in the case of spontaneous spellcasters)
, the user gains the ability for twenty-four hours to invoke Savras' name up to th
ree times as a swift action, causing the next spell cast by the user before the
start of their next turn to not expend the prepared spell or spell slot. This ab
ility can only affect spells of up to 5th level.
This ability can be used for up to nine levels worth of spells in any combinatio
n during the twenty-four hour period, and each time the ability is used a single
bone blackens for each level of the spell affected. The rosary can bestow this
ability to only one person every twenty-four hours, and it must be held or carr
ied in order to use this ability.
When the twenty-four hour period has elapsed, the user must immediately expend a
number of levels of prepared spells or unused spell slots up to the number of b
lackened bones. For every spell level that is not expended in this way, the user
receives one point of Constitution damage that cannot be overcome in any way (s
uch as by lesser restoration) except natural healing. This restores all bones to
their original condition, rendering the rosary fully useable again.
