USB Driver Installation

Installing and using Windows USB drivers for communication
with Fluke 1760 power quality analyzer

Important: Make sure to install the driver software before connecting the cable to
your computer!

Supported USB 2.0 host to host link cable:
roline USB2.0 Data Link Cable (Nr. 11.02.9194)
USL211 USB Link cable A Type Male to Male (Nr. 11.99.9194)

Insert Fluke 1760 / PQ Analyze CD into CD ROM drive. If the program launcher does not
start automatically please run "launch.exe" on the CD.


Select "Install USB Driver Software.

Select your language

Select USB Virtual Network and press Next.


Choose destination folder and press Next.

Select Program Folder and press Next.


On Windows 2000 systems you get the dialog below (please uncheck).

Press Finish to complete Setup.



Now plug the USB host to host cable into the USB port of your computer.
Note: Please wait approximately 1 minute. Windows XP needs this time to assign a valid
IP address to the network interface.
Note: Please make sure the "Alternate Configuration" option is set to "automatic" in the
"Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties" settings of your USB virtual network adapter.

Plug the other end of the cable into the USB port of your Fluke 1760.
Note: Please watch the LED next to the CF card slot while connecting the USB cable. If
the LED is on then the USB link cable was successfully detected and activated. If the
LED remains dark then please disconnect the cable, wait 3 seconds and try again.

Launch PQ Analyze.

Select Transfer>Fluke 1760>Search Devices


Select the USB Virtual Network Adapter and press Search


Connect to your instrument.
