Quick Installation Guide for ADSL User

1. Connect your HG553 to your computer via an Ethernet cable.

2. Get your HG553 connected to your ADSL cable and switch it on.
3. Input http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar of your Internet browser
username: admin
password: admin
Note: some of the HG553s default password may become VF-EShg553 after factory default
reset.
4. Click Advanced Setup on left column, then click ADSL uplink and Next button:


5. Click Edit button:

6. Change VPI/VCI value from default 0/44 to 8/35. Please contact your ISP if it is different.



7. Select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) and Click Next:

8. Input Username and Password provided by your ADSL service provide, PPPoE Service
Name is optional to input:

9. Change the connection name (optional):


10. Click Save button to finish the installation:
