AS AN OFFICER

Applications are invited from gainfully employed young men for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the nation as Territorial Army Officers,
based on the concept of enabling motivated young men to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions. You can
serve the nation in two capacities as a civilian and as a soldier. No other option allows you such an expanse of experiences.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Only male citizens of India and Ex-service officers who are
medically fit.
Age - 18 to 42 years as on 30 JUN 2014.
Qualif ication - Graduate from any recognized university.
Empl oyment - Gainfully Empl oyed in Central Govt/Semi
Govt/ Pvt Firm/ Own business/Self Employed.
Note : Serving Employees of Armed Forces/Police/Para Military
Forces are not eligible.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant.
Pay and Al lowances and privileges will be same as Regul ar
Army Officers when embodied for training and military service.
Promotions upt o Lt Col by ti me scale subject to fulfilling laid
down criteria. Promoti on to Colonel and Bri gadier by sel ect ion.
Officers commissioned in TA Infantry may be called out for
military service for longer duration depending on requirement.

SELECTION PROCEDURE : CIVILIAN CANDIDATES

Candidates whose appl icati ons forms are f ound correct will be called for screening (written exam and i ntervi ew), by a Preliminary Interview
Board (PIB), at the respective TA Group Headquarters.

Successf ul candi dat es will further undergo a Service Sel ecti on Board (SSB) and Medi cal Board f or fi nal sel ect ion.

NOTE : Candi dat e who passed writ ten test of PIB are required to bring the following att est ed document s by a Gazett ed of ficer at the ti me of
intervi ew :-

Certified copy of all educati onal qualifi cat ion certifi cates alongwit h ori ginal cert ifi cat e (matric onwards).

Latest physi cal fit ness certifi cat e from a registered MBBS Doctor.

Copy of Identity proof wi th phot ographs (Voter ID/PAN Card/Passport/Driving license etc).

Service certifi cat e by candidates employed in Central Govt / Uni on Territory / State Govt / Semi Govt / Private Sector Aut henti cated by
Head Offi ce.

Ex Service Officers of three services should send their applications alongwith release order and release medical board direct to Addl Directorat e
General TA, Int egrated HQ of MoD (Army), L Block, New Del hi-01.

The candidates will be screened by an Army HQ Sel ect ion Board (ASB) held at Addl Dt e Gen TA, GS Branch, L Block, Church Road, New
Delhi which is followed by a Medi cal Board at New Delhi (Armed Forces Clinic) and Poli ce Verificati on for shortlisted candidates.

LAST DATE : Form completed in all respects will be accepted till 30 JUN 2014 at respective locations of Territorial Army Group Headquarters.
