I/ AN INTRODUCTION:
The line graph below gives information about the number of
visitors to three London museums between June and September 2013.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main
features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
The pie charts show the main reasons for migration
to and from the UK in 2007.Summarize the information
by selecting and reporting the main features and make

The following table gives statistic showing the aspects of quantity of life in
5 countries.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information in the
table below
PARAPHRASE
1. Use the derivatives of a word (changing the form of the word)
Eg: contribute (v) -> contribution (n)
-Young people contributed to the plan significantly.
-The contribution of young people to the plan was significantly.
2. Use synonyms and antonyms.
Eg: The graph provides information on the number of cars
bought per head of population in China.
-> The graph provides information on the number of car
purchased per head of population in China.

3. Using how much , How many, and How+ ...
Eg1: The bar shows the number of students who visited the museum in
the past month.
-> The bar graph shows how many students visited the museum in
the past month.
Eg2: The pie charts show the amount of water used for domestic
purposes.
->The pie charts shows how much water was used for domestic
purposes.
Eg3: The table shows different devices which were used to access the
Internet by university students in a dormitory over the last year.
-> The table shows how the Internet was accessed by university
students in a dormitory over the last year.

Eg: Children used the books more eagerly when they were illustrated.
The books were used more eagerly(by children ) when they were
illustrated.

Introduction:

Eg: The graph shows life expectancy for males and females in the UK
from 1901 to 2002.

-> The line graph gives average lengths of life for men and women in
the UK between 1901 to 2002.

For each question below, write a possible introduction.
Question 1: The chart shows the chocolate production process.

Question 2: The chart illustrates the worlds mobile phone
subscribers in 2006, showing their distribution between six
geographical regions.

Question 3: The table shows the percentage attendance figures for
seven types of cultural event in Great Britain between 1986 and
2001 .

Question 4: The table and the chart show regional and global
population changes between 1950 and 200 as well as the increase
in urban populations in the same period with a projection for 2050.

1/ - The chart shows the process for the making of chocolate.
-The chart shows the stages/ steps of how chocolate is
made/produced.
2/ The chart illustrates how the global mobile phone users were
distributed among 6 regions in 2006.
3/ Given is the proportion of people attending 7 types of cultural
event in the UK within 15years.
4/ The chart and the table compare the changes of the population
locally and globally within 50 years. They also reveal how the
population in urban areas grew in the same period.

It is clear that Italy had the older population in the year
2000, and the same is predicted for the year 2050. The
populations of both countries are expected to age/become older
