    Chinese Information & Advice Centre will be running Kick it. FREE Stop Smoking Support for Westminster residents and workers, as well as to Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham residents at the Migrants Recourse Centre, 24 Churton Street, SW1V 2LP from July. Support is available in many languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, French and Spanish. First drop-in session 22nd of July (11-1pm) Confidential, one to one 6 weekly sessions (first session 30 minutes, following sessions 15minutes each) The Free Stop Smoking Support sessions include specialist behavioural support by certified Stop Smoking Practitioners, which will improve the client’s motivation as well as help building up capacities and strategies to stay smoke-free. By signing up for the sessions, the client will receive Free medication - which help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms – to support them in ‘kicking’ the habit and remain Smoke-free. Researches have shown that clients are up 4 times more likely to quit smoking by joining the programme, compared to dealing with the problem ‘cold turkey’ or by trying other therapies – acupuncture, hypnosis etc.
