HOUSING DEVELOPMENT (CONTROL AND LICENSING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS


2012
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Housing Development (Control and
Licensing) Act 1966, the Minister makes the following regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.
(1)
These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Development (Control and
Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

These Regulations come into operation on .. .

Amendment of regulation 2

The Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Regulations 1989 [P.U. (A)
58/1989], which are referred to as the principal Regulations in these Regulations, is
amended in regulation 2 by inserting after the definition of land the following definition:
land parcel has the same meaning assigned to it in the Strata Titles Act 1985;
Amendment of regulation 3

Subregulation 3(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting before
subregulation (1) the following subregulation:
(a)

procure or obtain a separate document of title to the building or lot;

Amendment of regulation 4

Subregulation 4(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the
words may be made not later than sixty (60) days before the date of expiry the words
fourteen (14) days before the date of expiry and the renewal shall be repeated until the
issuance of the certificate of completion and compliance.
Amendment of regulation 5

Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is amended


(a)

in subregulation (1), by deleting the word licensed after the word any; and

(b)

in subregulation (3), by inserting after the words particulars or information the


words including the change in the price of property.

Amendment of regulation 8
6.
Regulation 8 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation
(1) the following subregulation:

(1A)
contain:

Any advertisement made by any licensed housing developer shall not

(a)

offer of free legal fees;

(b)

projected monetary return gains and rental income;

(e)

claim of panoramic view;

(d)

misleading price tag on a nominal number of lowest costing units; or

(e)

any particular to which it cannot genuinely lay proper claim.

Amendment of regulation 11
7.
Subregulation 11(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the
words housing developer the word person.
Deletion of regulation 11A
8.

Regulation 11A of the principal Regulations is deleted.

Amendment of regulation 13
9.
Subregulation 13(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the
word twenty the word fifty.
