OBJECTIVES:
The student will learn how to keep tempo and sing a song while
productively cleaning up the classroom.

Materials:
Overhead visual on laptop
Tune of The Wheels on the Bus

Procedure:
1. Explain to the students that you have a fun song youd like to teach
them
2. Ask if they are familiar with The Wheels on the Bus
3. Sing the whole clean up song for the class and as if they want to learn
4. Demonstrate how to keep the beat of the song by tapping your thighs
5. Let the students try
6. Say the first line of the Clean Up song (while tapping thighs)
a. Its time to clean up our classroom, our classroom, our
classroom
7. Let the students repeat after you
8. Do this step again and watch to ensure that the students are getting it
9. Move on to the next portion of the song
a. Its time to clean up our classroom and put supplies away
10. Now say the whole first portion of the song all together
11. Teach the second half of the song
a. We just cleaned our classroom, our classroom, our classroom
12. Let the students repeat after you
13. Do this step again and watch to ensure that the students are getting it
14. Move on to the next portion of the song
a. We just cleaned our classroom and now were done for the day
15. Sing the entire song as a class
*Make sure to explain that this song will be sang during clean up/transitions

Did the students enjoy the song? Was it beneficial to the classroom and
students?
