How it's working the motivation in your work? By Jhoel Ramrez.

Based upon the interview with Assistant Manager of KFC


To do my job, I requested an interview with a friend , Christian Saavedra , who is Shop Assistant on
KFC (Ovalo Larco) who gave me some details.
As learned in classroom, it is important the motivation that is not related to the economic factor,
is more pleasurable recognition for good performance than extra money for the achievement (this
is relative).
However, the difference is, money is very volatile, is spent on something that is useless or possibly
cover some debt (this its so true) but recognition or other motivational issue is durable, creates a
sense of loyalty to the worker that allows a better perform.
This time I present how the issue is handled in KFC (Ovalo Larco ). According to my interviewee,
monthly meetings where possible failures, shortcomings and / or mistakes and their respective
solutions or the best way to treat analyzes are performed.
Also, there is best employee of the month recognition, which is based on the choice of 3
candidates, the choice is open, and everyone participates.
There is also an economic bonus (amount was not disclosed to me) based on the approval of 3
reviews:
- CER Evaluation (Comparative Effectiveness Research)
- CHAMPS Evaluation (Cleanliness, Hospitality , Accuracy, Maintenance , Product Quality ,
Services with speed)
- Top of Sales
Review
Although the working environment is good and the tension is handled in a "familiar way" with
group meetings per month, I personally think that even missing details that could raise the level of
effectiveness in the company.
Stimulates economic bonus is a way to reach their personal sales stops, and the best employee of
the month recognition is nice, but I think they should implement some sort of vouchers for
offers " (in other does exist) vouchers that can be used in cinemas or even to redeem food and
why not the chance to win a trip all paid. It would also be interesting to a corporate meeting in
which workers are entertained.
