Terms and Conditions

1. No purchase necessary to enter.
2. This competition is open to UK residents aged 7 years or over, with the exception of
employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with the
promotion.
3. Entries must be received by the closing date specified on the relevant promotion web
page23:59 BST on 9
th
August 2014 (Closing Date). The Promoter accepts no responsibility
for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the
relevant cClosing dDate for any reason. Proof of posting or sending is not proof of receipt.
Entries via agents or third parties are invalid.
4. Only one entry per person. No entrant may win more than one prize.
5. To enter, you must submit the information specified on the relevant promotions website in
the specified manneremail a photo of your funny pet, with the subject line Funniest Pet, to
Puffin@uk.penguingroup.com making sure you also tell us your name.
6. One main winner and two runners up will be chosen.
7. All entries are subject to approval by Puffin and PDSA. Puffin and PDSA reserve the right to
reject any entries without reason or prior notice
8. Puffin and PDSAs decision is final and no discussion will be entered into concerning
the outcome
5. Puffin and PDSAPromoter shall will reject entries which, in its sole opinion, conflict with
generally accepted conflict with our ethical and pet wellbeingwellbeing guidelines and/or
any similar guidelines set out in the entry details.
6. All valid entries will be forwarded to a judging panel consisting of a Marketing Executive
from Promoter, the Education Programme Manager from the PDSA and an independent
third party. The judges will choose one winner whose entry is, in their opinion, the funniest,
and two runners-up.
7. The judges decision is final and no discussion will be entered into concerning the outcome.
8. The Prize for the winner shall be (i) a 1 day family theme park pass to Alton Towers, (ii) all
seven of Jeremy Strongs Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog books, and (iii) 1 year membership to
the PDSA Pet Protectors Club.
9. The two runners-up will each receive the seven Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog books and 1 year
PDSA Pet Protectors membership.
10. Winners will be notified by email within 14 days after the relevant promotions cClosing
Ddate. The winner must claim their prize within 14 days of the Promoter sending
notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves
the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with
these rules.
11. The prizes are non-transferrable and no cash alternative will be offered.
12. Other than any specified above, the Promoter shall not be liable for any costs or expenses
arising out of or in any way connected with this prize (including but not limited to, any travel
or accommodation costs) and does not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or
disappointment suffered by the winners as result of accepting these prizes

13. To obtain details of the winners of a Puffin promotion, please
email puffin@penguin.com stating the name of the prize draw in the subject heading no
later than 4 weeks after the closing date of the relevant promotion.

14. By entering this competition you confirm that your entry is entirely your own creation.
Entrants will keep the Promoter harmless from any claims alleging the entry is actually
someone elses work.
15. By submitting an entry, you (or your parent/guardian on your behalf) grant to the Promoter
for free, permission to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute
your entry throughout the world in any media now known or invented in the future. If you
do not want to give us this permission, please do not submit your entry to us.

11.16. The Promoter will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of
running the this competition that the entrant has entered, unless otherwise stated in the
entry details. By entering, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by the
Promoter for the purposes of the administration of that competition and any other purposes
to which the entrant has consented.
12.17. The winners agree to take part in reasonable post event publicity and to the use of
their names and photographs in such publicity.
13.18. By entering Puffin this competition each entrantyou agrees to be bound by these
terms and conditions.
