Abstract: T his pa per int roduces brief ly so me co mmon mechanism motion analy sis met ho ds and their char act eristics, w ith the
em phasis on the establishment of kinematic mo del and so lid mo deling w ith the so ftw are SimM echanics and Solidwo rks, taking
cr ank- r ocker mechanism and oscillating g uide- bar mechanism as examples. Simultaneo usly the mechanism kinematic analy sis
and simulatio n is implemented by setting module par ameters and simulat ion pa rameters. T he kinetic characterist ic curv e of the
key po ints and the simulatio n animation a re obtained. T he results sho w that the intro duced method is easy , ra pid and accur ate
for pr act ical engineer ing applicatio n.
